SCARFACE: AL PACINO and MICHELLE PFEIFFER The famed actor and actress sign a color movie still from their 1983 film Scarface in blue felt tip Photograph signed: "Al Pacino" and "Michelle Pfeiffer" in blue felt tip, color, 10x8. Al Pacino starred as Tony Montana, an exiled Cuban criminal who goes to work for a Miami drug lord (Robert Loggia). Montana rises to the top of Florida's crime chain, appropriating Loggia's cokehead mistress (Michelle Pfeiffer) in the process. Pacino and Pfeiffer also starred together in the 1992 film Frankie and Johnny. ALFREDO JAMES "AL" PACINO (b. 1940) is an American actor who has also worked as a screenwriter and filmmaker. He is considered by audiences and many commentators to be one of the greatest actors of all time. His career has spanned more than fifty years, during which time he received many competitive and honorary accolades and honors, such as an Academy Award, two Tony Awards, two Primetime Emmy Awards, four Golden Globe Awards, and the National Medal of Arts. Interestingly, Pacino is also one of the few performers to have won a competitive Oscar, an Emmy, and a Tony Award, dubbed the "Triple Crown of Acting". Some of his most famous films are Scent of a Woman (1992), The Godfather (1972), Dick Tracy (1990), Glengarry Glen Ross (1992), Serpico (1973), The Godfather: Part II (1974), Dog Day Afternoon (1975), and And Justice for All (1979). After starting out in television guest appearances and commercials, MICHELLE PFEIFFER (b. 1958) proved she could hold her own opposite heavyweights like Jack Nicholson in The Witches of Eastwick (1987), Robert Redford in Up Close and Personal (1996), and George Clooney in One Fine Day (1996). The range of characters she has played is considerable; Pfeiffer has starred as a sexpot (Susie Diamond in The Fabulous Baker Boys, 1989, for which she did her own vocals), a farmer's daughter (A Thousand Acres, 1996), a werewolf (Wolf, 1994), and even Catwoman (Batman Returns, 1992). Pfeiffer has been nominated twice for a Best Actress Oscar (for 1989's The Fabulous Baker Boys and 1992's Love Field) and once for a Best Supporting Actress Oscar (for 1988's Dangerous Liaisons).
