SCOTT BRADY and JESSE WHITE
Scott Brady and Jesse White sign an album leaf.
Signatures: "Scott/Brady" in penciland on verso "Jesse/White" in ink, 5½x4½ album leaf. Identical ink note (unknown hand) on each side: "U.A. Theater opening, San Jose, Calif. Nov. 14, 1951." Newspaper photo of Brady (B/w, ¾x1) and of White (b/w, 1x1) affixed below signatures. SCOTT BRADY (1924-1985) starred in many B pictures, beginning in 1948, mostly Westerns and other action films such as He Walked By Night (1948), but including an occasional comedy (The Model and the Marriage Broker, 1954). Later he played supporting in roles in such films as The China Syndrome (1979) and Gremlins (1984). He made many TV guest appearances, and had his own series for one year (Shotgun Slade, 1959-1960). JESSE WHITE (1919-1997) appeared in nightclubs before moving to the Broadway stage in 1942. He was a hit as a sanitarium attendant in Harvey (1944), repeating the role in the film (1950). A character actor whose film roles occasionally got prominent billing (Bedtime for Bonzo, 1951; The Rise and Fall of Legs Diamond (1960), White was most familiar on TV. He was a cast regular on two simultaneous sitcoms of the 1950s, Make Room for Daddy and Private Secretary. However, he was most recognizable as the "lonely" Maytag repairman of commercial fame. His last appearance was in two episodes of Seinfeld (1996). Pencil note (unknown hand) on Brady side. White's signature shows through. Slightly frayed left edge. Otherwise, fine condition.
