SEAN ANTHONY FRYE
The youthful actor, a 12-year veteran at age 18, writes of the
notable actors he's already worked with.
Typed Letter signed: "Sean Anthony Frye", 1 page, 7¼x10¾. No
place, 1984 July 10. To Todd M. Axelrod, Las Vegas, Nevada. In full:
"Thank you for your interest and kind words. I would be glad to
contribute to Nevada's collected presentation on the entertainment industry. I
am now eighteen years of age and have been working as a professional actor since
age six. Aside from several unreleased projects in the past year, my most recent
film work was as co-star in E. T. The Extraterrestrial. In twelve short
years of acting I have had the pleasure of working with such artists as Mrs. Tom
Hayden [Jane Fonda], Mr. George Segal, Ms. Jane Alexander, Mr. Hal
Holbrook (twice with Ms. Elizabeth Montgomery and many others. For these
opportunities I am very grateful. At the moment, I am in between projects. I try
to study and travel as much as possible in my spare time. Thank you for your
consideration. Yours truly". Sean Anthony Frye (b. 1966) was a
student at Lee Strasberg's Actors Studio at age 9. His performance in a
Crest commercial earned him a role in Fun with Dick and Jane (1977,
sharing the screen with Jane Fonda and George Segal). He performed with Hal
Holbrook and Elizabeth Montgomery (The Awakening Land, a 1978 TV
mini-series), and Jane Alexander (A Circle of Children). His most
famous film was certainly E. T. The Extraterrestrial (1982), in which
he played friend "Steve." He would have an opportunity to appear with more
talented actors, including Lee Remick and Bruce Dern in Toughlove, but
retired from acting in 1988 to pursue a career in social. He is the half-sister
of Soliel Moon Frye, whose father and mother met on the set of Sean's commercial
for M&M's. Fine condition.
