SEAN PENN and ROBIN WRIGHT
The former Hollywood couple is shown together at an event. Their
tumultuous marriage came to an end in 2010.
Photograph signed: "Sean Penn" in silver ink, and "Robin
Wright" in blue ink. Color, 8x10. Long the bad boy of Hollywood, Sean
Penn is also among the most fiercely talented actors of his generation. He
made his feature debut in 1981's Taps. Penn shot to stardom with 1982's
Fast Times at Ridgemont High. He starred in the 1983 prison drama Bad
Boys, followed a year later by Crackers and the period romance
Racing With the Moon. The 1985 political thriller, The Falcon and the
Snowman, earned some of his best notices to date. Penn announced his
intention to retire from acting in order to focus his full attentions on
directing; however, after helming 1995's
The Crossing Guard, he was back onscreen, winning an Academy Award
nomination for his gut-wrenching portrayal of a death-row inmate in Dead Man
Walking. In 2002, Penn would once again win critical praise with his
Oscar-nominated portrayal of a developmentally disabled man struggling to retain
custody of his daughter in I Am Sam. As of 2013, he is the winner of 2
Academy awards for Best Actor for Milk (2009) and Mystic River
(2004). Penn had an infamous relationship with pop legend Madonna from
1985-1989, and with actress Robin Wright from 1996-2010. Robin Wright
(b.1966) is best known for her roles as The Bride in The Princess
Bride (1987), Jenny in Forest Gump (1994), and Kelly
Capwell on TV's Santa Barbara (1984-1988). Her more recent roles
include Anne Collins in State of Play, Sharon in
Moneyball (2011), and Clair Underwood on TVs House of Cards
(2013-2014). In 1996 the star married actor Sean Penn with whom she was
wed until the end of an ugly divorce suit in 2010. The two of them appeared
together in the 1997 film She's So Lovely (1997). Fine
condition.
