1975”. 4½x6¼. Partially dated October 1975. Sepia-toned. Selwyn Jepson (1890-1989)
was a detective author who saw some of his works play out on the screen. He served in the
military in WWI and WWII. During WWI, he was a member of the Tank Corps, while in
WWII he served as a Special Operations Executive (SOE). The SOE collected intelligence
information from German-occupied European territories. His books include Puppets of Fate
(1922), Rabbit's Paw (1932), and Man Running (1948). Among his many screen credits, he
wrote six episodes of the Rheingold Theatre series in the 1950s. Note on verso in unknown
hand. Otherwise, fine condition.
