received a nomination for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for his role in Faces
(1968). The film was directed by John Cassavetes, who had also directed Cassel's debut film,
Shadows (1959). Casel has appeared in numerous motion pictures, including The Killers
(1964), Coogan's Bluff (1968), Dick Tracy (1990), Honeymoon in Vegas (1992), Indecent
Proposal (1993), Rushmore (1998) and The Royal Tenenbaums (2001). He has been
equally prolific on the small screen, starring in three series (Under Suspicion, 1994-1995);
Good Company, 1996; and Lucky, 2003), in a TV miniseries (The Last Don, 1997) and
appearing as a guest star in numerous TV series, from The Lloyd Bridges Show in 1962 to
Justice League in 2005, including repeat appearances on Twelve O'Clock High and
Matlock. Lightly stained (barely visible head on) at upper portion, else fine condition.
