Photograph inscribed and signed: "Meadow Dreams/Good luck or
else!/Shadoe Stevens". Color, 8x10 overall, image 6x9¼ (one surface). Shadoe
Stevens (born Terry Ingstad in 1947) began his career in radio, eventually
replacing Casey Kasem on American Top 40, before making a
successful transition to television. First serving as the announcer
(1986-1987) on The New Hollywood Squares, Stevens was then seen and
not just heard during his stint as a "regular" from 1987-1989; he would later
return as an announcer on another version of the popular game show from
1998-2002. Stevens' other TV work includes the role of Kenny Beckett
(1993-1997) on the sitcom, Dave's World, the voice of the Weird
Eye on Weird TV (from 2003) and several guest starring roles. He can
also be heard announcing such award shows as the Grammys and the Emmys as
well as Comic Relief specials. He has also appeared in commercials and in
feature films, including Traxx (1988) and Mr. Saturday Night
(1992). Written at dark area but completely legible. Slightly irregular upper
and right edges. Name written (unknown hand) in ink on verso (no show through).
