He has appeared in a number of feature films, including the Young Guns films(1988, 1990) and Courage Under Fire(1996), as well as made-for-TV movies. Tall, lanky and bearing perhaps the most enjoyably sinister face this side of Vincent Price, SUTHERLAND, born in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada in 1935, made a name for himself in some of the most influential films of the 1970s and early 1980s. By the early 1970s, Sutherland had become something of a bona fide star, thanks to lead roles in films like Start the Revolution without Me and M*A*S*H (both 1970). Sutherland, who has made over 100 films over his career, has also starred in such films as The Dirty Dozen (1967), Klute (1971), Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978), Ordinary People (1980), Max Dugan Returns (1983), Backdraft (1991), Space Cowboys (2000), The Italian Job (2003), Cold Mountain (2003) and Pride & Prejudice (2005).
