Wallis", in blue ink, B/w 3¼x5½. Actress and vocalist Shani Wallis (b.
1933) was a scholarship student at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts before
becoming a star on West End stages. Her diverse roles included the
title role in the London production of Irma La Douce (1961), but
she may be better known to movie audiences for her role as Nancy in the film
rendition of Oliver! (1968). Now a US citizen, Wallis has made TV
appearances in both variety shows and in series as diverse as Gunsmoke
and Night Gallery. Adhesive residue on verso. Paper fragment on bottom
corners. Surface creases and dents. Corners and edges slightly worn. Surface of
image slightly soiled, not seen head on. Otherwise, fine
condition.
