SHARON GLESS The talented actress signs this black and white photo, inscribing it to a fan Inscribed Photograph signed: "For John-/ Warmest wishes,/ Sharon Gless" in black felt tip, b/w, 8x10. Sharon Gless (b. 1943) solidified herself as a bankable name in 1982 when she replaced Meg Foster as NYPD officer Chris Cagney on the detective series Cagney and Lacey. She remained in this role until the series' cancellation in 1988, winning two Emmy awards along the way, and then reprised the part (with her co-star Tyne Daly) in a well-received 1995 TV movie. Another of Gless's TV-series gigs was as the public-defender heroine of The Trials of Rosie O'Neill (1990-1992). More recently, she played the concerned, yet proud mother of Michael Novotny, Hal Sparks' character in Queer as Folk (2000-2005) and Michael's mother, Madeline Westin, on Burn Notice (2007-2013). Fine condition.
