SHEEP ON THE RUNWAY PLAY CAST
Eleven actors from the production that featured 105 performances signed this Playbill
Show Bill Signed: “Barnard Hughes”, “Elizabeth / Wilson”, “Martin Gabel”, “Jeremiah Morris' (in pencil), “Margaret Ladd”, “Neil Flanagan”, “David Burns”, “Will MacKenzie”, “Remak Ramsay”, “Bill Becker”, and “Kurt Garfield”. 6x9 show bill. 48 pages. Journalist Art Buchwald wrote this original comedy production about a journalist who mistakenly thinks that there is an impending war. Starring David Burns (1901-1971), Elizabeth Wilson (1921-2015), and Jeremiah Morris (1929-2006), the show ran for almost a year with 105 performances in 1970. David Burns won three Tony Awards and a Primetime Emmy during his screen and stage career. He passed away just a year after this play ended its run. Wilson won a Tony Award for her performance in 1972's Sticks and Bones. All of the signers are veteran stage actors, and many also have considerable experience on the screen as well. Lightly toned. Two pin holes through the entire show bill in the center towards the top, about two inches apart. Morris's name is hardly legible underneath “Gabel”.Otherwise, fine condition.
