"Standard AFTRA Engagement Contract For Single Television Broadcast and For Multiple Television Broadcasts Within One Calendar Week" in which Roncom Productions, Inc. contracts with Berman for a guest appearance on Perry Como's Kraft Music Hall to be taped on January 20, 1961 for airing on January 25, 1961. Berman is to be paid $10,000 for his appearance as a "Guest Star". Also signed: "Harvey B Sindle" as Assistant Secretary for Roncom Productions, Inc. Sindle has also initialed: "HBS" on rider. Actor/comedian Shelley Berman (born Sheldon Berman in 1926) was the first to win a Grammy for a nonmusical recording and the first standup comedian to appear in Carnegie Hall. A frequent TV guest star with occasional roles on stage and film, he is also the author of three books. His comedy monologues, often spoken into an imaginary telephone, feature ordinary people in frustrating situations. Lightly creased. Staple holes at upper blank margins, paper clip impression and rust stain at upper margin of first page, paper clip impressions at upper margins of first six pages of rider. Slightly shaded at some margins, lightly soiled on first page. Stamped at lower margin of first page. Overall, fine condition.
