Inscribed Printed Photograph signed in Ink: "To Tomi,/ God Bless -/ Jimmy Seales", "Ralph

7x8 (one surface). RCA Records publicity photograph by Frank Ockenfels. Captioned at

over the group's name that resulted in their being dropped by their CBS label. In April of
that year, they would have a No. 2 hit with "Rock My Baby", and would release their fourth
and fifth albums, Long Time Comin' (1992) and Under the Kudzu (1993), on the RCA label
before signing with Liberty/Capitol in late 1994. Initially formed in 1985 as a house band in
Muscle Shoals, Alabama, Shenandoah is composed of Marty Raybon (vocalist), Jim Seales
(guitar), Stan Thorn (keyboards), Ralph Ezell (bass) and Mike McGuire (drums). The
group released its first album, the self-titled Shenandoah in 1987, and followed up the next
year by Road Not Taken, a traditional country album that was their most successful,
producing six singles that reached the Country Top 10 (including No. 1 hit, "The Church
on Cumberland Road"). Their third album, Extra Mile (1990), included the group's biggest
single, "Next to You, Next to Me", which topped the country charts for three weeks. The
group's other Top 10 hits include "Sunday in the South", "Two Dozen Roses", "Ghost in
This House", "I Got You" and "The Moon Over Georgia", and subsequent albums include In
the Vicinity of the Heart (1995), Now and Then (1996) and 2000 (2000). Slightly creased at
blank corners. Minor stains (not evident head-on) at lower margin. Otherwise, fine condition.
