Autograph Letter signed: "Sid Melton", 1 page 5½x8½, No place, 1984 August 12. On personal stationary to Mr. Todd M. Axelrod. In full: "Dear Todd M. Axelrod: I sincerely hope that the museum is the success it desires to be. Las Vegas has always seemed to me to be the entertainment capital of the world. There is actually no place in the world to equal it. As for my career of over forty years in show business, I consider my role as "Charlie" on the Danny Thomas TV series, to be my favorite. For the big screen I believe my happiest role was on Diana Ross's boss in "Lady Sings the Blues". Again, all the luck in the world with the museum and all it represents. I love Las Vegas. Respectfully," Accompanied by 6½x3½ Envelope postmarked Aug, 15 1984, Addressed by Melton in his own hand.
