Taped to a presentation folder. Mount is lightly creased, slightly stained, slightly soiled and shaded not at writing. Photo is in fine condition. Accompanied by an original March 4, 1936 telegram from Romberg to Bothe about meeting her in Albuquerque on Friday, March 6th, "to give you my photograph personally". Creased and worn. Tears at edges. Tape stain and file holes at blank left margin. Hungarian-American composer Sigmund Romberg (1887-1951), who came to the U.S. in 1909, played in restaurant and café orchestras and soon had his own orchestra. He wrote the score for the musical The Whirl of the World (1914) and followed it with more than 70 operettas, including Blossom Time (1921), The Student Prince (1924), The Desert Song (1926) and The New Moon (1928).
