Biography
Rear Admiral Ernest McNeill Eller (1903-1992) served in WWII and the Korean War before becoming the Director of Naval History from 1956 to 1970. He also published numerous books and articles about naval warfare, United States strategy, and foreign policy on the seas. From 1932 to 1935, the officer taught English and History at the United States Naval Academy.
