Alice Faye (1915-1998) was a chorus girl who rose to movie stardom in such films as In Old Chicago (1938), Rose of Washington Square (1939) and Tin Pan Alley (1940). She co-starred with husband Phil Harris in a popular radio comedy series. Semi-retired thereafter she remained popular in TV and nightclub appearances.
