Of Lithuanian descent, Jillian, born as Ann Jura Nauseda, began her career as a child actress in the 1960s, appearing in films such as "Babes in Toyland" and "Gypsy."

In the 1980s, Jillian became a recognizable face on television, best known for her role as Cassie Cranston on the sitcom "It's a Living," which aired from 1980 to 1989. Her vibrant performance earned her a Golden Globe nomination.

A significant moment in Jillian's life and career came in 1985 when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. After undergoing a double mastectomy, she returned to acting and became a strong advocate for cancer awareness. In 1988, she starred in "The Ann Jillian Story," a television movie based on her experience with the disease.
