Anthony Caruso (April 7, 1916 – April 4, 2003) was an American character actor who featured in over one hundred films and numerous television programs, often cast in villainous roles. Born in Frankfort, Indiana, Caruso's career spanned over five decades, showcasing his versatility and enduring presence in the entertainment industry.

Caruso began his acting career in the 1940s. His dark looks and sharp features often found him typecast as heavies and gangsters in numerous films, including "Johnny Angel" (1945), "Baby Face Nelson" (1957), and "The Asphalt Jungle" (1950), where his portrayal of Louis Ciavelli stood out. Caruso was equally active in television, making guest appearances on series such as "Star Trek," "The Untouchables," "The Man from U.N.C.L.E.," "Hawaii Five-O," and "The Twilight Zone." His capacity to adapt to various character types allowed him to work steadily across multiple genres. In his later career, Caruso continued to act in both films and television, including parts in "Buck Rogers in the 25th Century" (1979-1981) and "The Incredible Hulk" (1978-1982). His final appearance was in the 1980s hit series "Hill Street Blues."
