Arthur Hailey (1920-2004), who began his writing career with scripts for early TV anthologies, sold over 170 million copies of his books in 40 languages. His works, many of which were made into feature films, include Hotel (1965), Airport (1968), Wheels (1971) and The Money Changers (1975).
