Biography
Beatrice Lillie (1894-1989) moved to England in 1914, where she became a music hall favorite. She had a radio program after World War II. Lillie's Broadway debut was in This Year of Grace(1927), written for her by her friend Noel Coward. The last of her occasional film appearances was in Thoroughly Modern Millie (1967). She married Sir Robert Peel (1898-1934) in 1920.
