Bellamy Partridge (1877-1960) was a freelance writer, novelist and popular historian, author of works such Country Lawyer (1939) and The Big Family (1941). The former was picked up by a Hollywood studio, of which Partridge adapted to the screen, but which was never actually produced due to the outbreak of WWII.
