Ben Frank (September 2, 1934 – June 11, 1996) was an American film and television actor who left an indelible mark on Hollywood with his distinctive performances. Born in New York City, New York, Frank embarked on a career that spanned more than three decades and included memorable roles in both feature films and popular television series.

Frank launched his acting career in the late 1960s and quickly demonstrated his versatility, adept at portraying characters across various genres, from drama and action to comedy and science fiction. His film credits include roles in "The Frisco Kid" (1979) where he played the character of "Rabbi Avram Belinski" and "WarGames" (1983) in which he portrayed a cautious and concerned Air Force Colonel. However, it was arguably on television where Frank's talent shone brightest. His television credits are extensive, including guest appearances on popular shows such as "Starsky & Hutch," "Charlie's Angels," and "The Dukes of Hazzard." His nuanced portrayal of varied characters contributed significantly to these series' narratives. Perhaps one of his most recognizable roles was in the crime drama series "Hill Street Blues," where he played the recurring character of "Officer Eddie Gregg." His performance on the show earned him praise and further cemented his status as a reliable character actor.
