Biography
Bill Anderson had his first #1 country hit, "Mama Sang a Song", in 1962. A member of the Grand Ole Opry since 1961, he was named to the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1975. Anderson hosted a TV quiz show, The Better Sex (1977-1978), and continues to tour with his band, Po Folks.
