Bill Hayes (b. 1925) was a singer on Sid Caesar's TV program Your Show of Shows in the early 1950s. He had one hit record, a version of the Davy Crockett TV theme song. From 1970-1984, and in several subsequent stints through 2004, Hayes portrayed Doug Williams on the daytime drama Days of Our Lives. In 1974 he married Susan Seaforth, who played his wife Julie on the show. They published a joint autobiography, Like Sands Through the Hourglass, in 2005. George R.
