Bresee's career began as a model and a TV spokeswoman, where she gained recognition for her striking appearance. However, her ambition extended beyond modeling, and she made a transition to acting in her early thirties. Her first significant role was in the film "Mausoleum" (1983), where she played Susan Walker Farrell, a woman possessed by a demon. This performance, noted for its intense emotion and physicality, marked the beginning of her niche in the horror film industry. Following her success in "Mausoleum," Bresee became a familiar face in the B-movie circuit, often portraying seductive and dangerous women. She continued to build her horror filmography with films such as "Evil Spawn" (1987), "Surf Nazis Must Die" (1987), and "Ghoulies" (1984). Although largely focused on the horror genre, Bresee also had a notable role in the science fiction film "Star Slammer" (1986), where she demonstrated her versatility as an actress. Outside of her film work, she also appeared in a number of popular television shows, including "Fantasy Island" and "The Fall Guy."
