Biography
Bobby Vinton, born Stanley Robert Vinton in 1935, was a big hit with young listeners in the 1960s. He scored five big hits between 1962 and 1964: Roses Are Red, Blue on Blue, Blue Velvet, There, I've Said It Again and Mr. Lonely. Unlike many of his rivals, he more than survived the British invasion, with further big hits like I Love How You Love Me(1968). Vinton hosted his own TV musical variety show (1975-1978) and remains ever popular on the nightclub circuit and "oldies" radio.
