The Boston Bruins are a professional ice hockey team based in Boston, Massachusetts. They are one of the "Original Six" teams along with the Montreal Canadiens, Toronto Maple Leafs, New York Rangers, Chicago Black Hawks, and Detroit Red Wings. Established in 1924, they are the oldest American team in the National Hockey League (NHL) and the league's third-oldest overall.
