Biography
Before becoming Circuit Judge in 1884, Gresham served as Arthur's Postmaster General (1883-1884) and Secretary of the Treasury (1884). From 1893 until his death on May 28, 1895, Gresham, a Republican, served as Democrat Cleveland's Secretary of State.
