Cesar Romero was born on February 15, 1907, in New York City, New York and he was an American actor, dancer, and singer.

Cesar Julio Romero Jr. was born to Cuban parents and grew up in New York and New Jersey. Before entering films, he worked as a dancer and appeared in nightclub and stage entertainment. He began his Hollywood career during the 1930s and appeared in a wide range of studio films, including dramas, musicals, comedies, and adventure pictures.

Romero was often cast in roles associated with charm, society figures, romantic characters, and Latin American or European characters. His film credits included The Thin Man, The Devil Is a Woman, Wee Willie Winkie, The Little Princess, Springtime in the Rockies, Coney Island, Captain from Castile, The Beautiful Blonde from Bashful Bend, and Ocean’s 11.

During World War II, Romero served in the United States Coast Guard in the Pacific. After the war, he resumed acting and continued appearing in films and television. He played the Cisco Kid in a series of films during the late 1930s and early 1940s and later appeared in Disney films such as The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes, Now You See Him, Now You Don’t, and The Strongest Man in the World.

Romero also entertained audiences on television as the Joker on the ABC series Batman from 1966 to 1968 and in the 1966 feature film Batman. He later appeared in series including The Love Boat, Fantasy Island, Falcon Crest, Murder, She Wrote, and The Golden Girls.
