Biography
Christopher John McCarron (b. 1955) is a Hall of Fame jockey who won six Triple Crown events (2 each at the Kentucky Derby, Preakness and Belmont Stakes) and 9 Breeders' Cup races. In 1987, he rode Alysheba, son of racing legend Alydar, to victories in the Derby and the Preakness. (He lost a bid for the Triple Crown when Belmont rules denied the horse access to a medication.) McCarron was a technical adviser for the film Seabiscuit(2003), and appeared on screen in a minor role.
