Claude Terrasse (1867-1923), was a French composer of operettas. He became well-known after writing the music for the play "Ubu Roi" by Alfred Jarry in 1896. His brother-in-law was the painter Pierre Bonnard. He introduced Terrasse to the artistic world of Paris and the avant-garde literature and art of the time. Some of his other works include; "La petite femme de Loth", "Monsieur de la Palisse", "Le mariage de Télémaque", and "Vive la France! - Trilogie à grand spectacle."
