Turning professional in 1982, Pavin's prowess on the course became evident early on. Over the course of his career, he clinched 15 PGA Tour victories. Among these wins, his triumph at the 1995 U.S. Open remains a standout, as he secured his sole major championship title at the Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in Southampton, New York. Pavin's playing style was characterized by his exceptional ability to shape shots and his meticulous approach to the game, rather than relying on sheer power.
