Biography
Brigadier General Daniel Morgan (1735/36 – July 6, 1802) was a notable figure in American history, primarily recognized for his role as a soldier and politician from Virginia. He emerged as a respected battlefield tactician during the American Revolutionary War, contributing significantly to pivotal battles such as the Invasion of Canada, Saratoga, and notably the Battle of Cowpens. Following his military career, Morgan served in the suppression of the Whiskey Rebellion and was elected to the United States House of Representatives.
