Biography | show moreshow less
David Belasco (1853-1931) produced over 80 shows on Broadway. The inscription here is almost certainly to husband and wife playwrights Frederic H. and Fannie Locke Hatton, whose hit play Years of Discretion had opened at the Belasco Theatre on Christmas day, 1912, running for 190 performances through June 1913. Originally in the Theatre Collection of the New York Public Library (noted on verso), sold to raise funds.
