DON COLEMAN
Born: January 14, 1893 in Sheridan, Wyoming
Died: December 16, 1985 in Willits, California
Biography
Don Coleman (1893-1985), a rodeo rider who once beat famed stuntman Yakima Canutt at the Bozeman Stampede, entered films as a stunt double for Douglas Fairbanks, and in supporting roles. Maverick B-movie producer Leo Maloney gave Coleman some starring roles, including The Black Ace (1928). Maloney's death and the advent of talkies curtailed Coleman's film career, and he became a rancher.
