Biography
Donald W. Douglas (1892-1981), formed Davis-Douglas Co., which became Douglas Aircraft Co. in 1928. Douglas was president from 1928-1957 and chairman from 1957-1967, when his company merged with McDonnell Douglas. Douglas served as honorary chairman from 1967 until his death. The company merged again in 1997 to form Boeing McDonnell Douglas.
