DOROTHY SANDS (1893-1980) appeared in no less than 36 Broadway shows between 1934 and 1970, including Papa Is All (1942), Quadrille (1954-1955) and Mary Stuart (1957) among dozens of others.  Also a writer, Sands wrote the Broadway plays Styles in Acting (1932) and her self-titled one-woman show, Dorothy Sands (1933). She performed her last Broadway show, Paris is Out! in 1970, one decade before her death.
