Biography
Aviator Douglas Corrigan (1907-1995) left Floyd Bennett Airfield in New York City for California. 28 hours and 13 minutes later, he landed outside Dublin, Ireland, after "accidentally" going the wrong way. Corrigan's exploit made him a national hero, and he was known as "Wrong-Way" Corrigan.
