Biography
Andrew "Drew" Brees (b. 1979), as a college quarterback at Purdue, set Big Ten records in several categories, including offensive yardage and touchdown passes, leading the Boilermakers to the 2001 Rose Bowl. With the NFL San Diego Chargers (2001-2005), he was Comeback Player of the Year (2004), leading the team to the AFC West title that year. He joined the New Orleans Saints in 2006, and was MVP of Super Bowl XLIV, the Saints' first ever championship. Brees is also known for his philanthropic work, including active involvement in the rebuilding of hurricane-shattered New Orleans and in public service messages against bullying.
