Biography
Edmund Boyle (1767-1856) was known by his title of the 8th Earl of Cork and Orrery, and from 1768 to 1798 he went by the title of Viscount Dungarvan. Boyle was an Irish soldier who ascended the military ranks, serving in several different Regiments of Foot, and eventually becoming George III's aide-de camp.
