Biography
Wilhelm (1859-1941) succeeded his father as Emperor of Germany and King of Prussia in 1888. His father, Kaiser Frederick III, reigned only 99 days, dying of cancer. Wilhelm was born with a withered left arm that was kept from the public much in the same way as was FDR's polio. As part of the Armistice ending World War I, Kaiser Wilhelm II was forced to abdicate, which he did on November 28, 1918. He went to Holland, where he died in 1941.
