Biography | show moreshow less
Singer/actor Fabian, born Fabiano Anthony Forte in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1943, was one of the biggest of the 1950s teen idols, finding overnight stardom after appearances on Dick Clark's American Bandstand. In 1959-1960, he had a number of Top 10 hits, including Tiger, Hound Dog Man and his signature song Turn Me Loose. Fabian then embarked on a film career, appearing in such films as Hound Dog Man (1959), North to Alaska (1960), High Time (1960) and The Longest Day (1962). Billing himself as Fabian Forte after 1970, he continued to appear in films and made-for-TV movies and made guest appearances on several TV shows. In recent years, Fabian has teamed up with fellow teen idols Frankie Avalon and Bobby Rydell, touring as "The Golden Boys".
