Faye Dunaway (born January 14, 1941) is a highly respected American actress with a career spanning six decades in film, television, and theatre. Known for her dramatic intensity, she became one of the leading figures of the "New Hollywood" era in the 1960s and 70s.
Born Dorothy Faye Dunaway in Bascom, Florida, she began her career on stage, gaining recognition in 1962 with the Broadway play "A Man for All Seasons". Her breakout role in film came in 1967 with "Bonnie and Clyde", in which she played the infamous Bonnie Parker, earning her first Academy Award nomination.
