Canadian Hockey Hall of Fame: Inducted in 1981Played 22 professional seasons from 1956 to 1978Awards: Calder Memorial Trophy(1958) First All-Star Team Left Wing(1961, 1963, 1973) Second All-Star Team Left Wing(1962, 1964, 1965, 1966, 1969, 1970)Career: Traded to Detroit by Toronto with Pete Stemkowski, Garry Unger and the rights to Carl Brewer for Norm Ullman, Paul Henderson, Floyd Smith and Doug Barrie, March 3, 1968. Traded to Montreal by Detroit for Guy Charron, Bill Collins and Mickey Redmond, January 13, 1971. Selected by Dayton-Houston (WHA) in 1972 WHA General Player Draft, February 12, 1972. WHA rights traded to Toronto (WHA) by Houston (WHA) for future considerations, June, 1974. Transferred to Birmingham (WHA) after Toronto (WHA) franchise relocated, June 30, 1976. Missed remainder of 1976-77 due to knee injury vs. San Diego (WHA), November 10, 1976. Officially announced his retirement after comeback attempt with Detroit failed, October 7, 1979.
