Biography
Gwynne (1926-1993) starred as Herman Munster in the sitcom The Munsters, televised on CBS from 1964-1966. He had portrayed New York City Police Officer Francis Muldoon in the sitcom Car 54, Where Are You? from 1961-1963. Otherwise, Gwynne preferred Broadway, where he appeared as Big Daddy in Tennessee Williams' Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, and film, where he performed ably as the judge in My Cousin Vinny (1992) shortly before his death from pancreatic cancer.
