Biography
Fred Stolle (b. 1938) won the French Open Championship in 1965 and the US Open in 1966. He was afinalist at the other Grand Slam events (Wimbledon and the Australian Open) several times in that decade. Stolle excelled even more in doubles competition, winning 10 Open trophies in men's doubles and five more in mixed doubles. After leaving the court, he became a TV commentator.
