GEORGE TAKEI

Biography
George Takei (born in 1940) is best known for his role as Lieutenant Hikaru Sulu in the Star Trek TV series (1966-1969) and feature films (beginning in 1979). He also lent his voice to Star Trek animated series and appeared in the Star Trek spinoff, Star Trek: Voyager (1996). The actor has also appeared in a number of feature films and made-for TV movies, including lending his voice to Mulan (1998), and has made guest appearances on several TV series, such as Twilight Zone (1964), I Spy (1965, 1966), Hawaii Five-O (1975), Murder, She Wrote and Miami Vice (both 1987), Diagnosis Murder (1998) and Scrubs (2004). Takei has also been featured on two daytime soaps: General Hospital (1985) and The Young and The Restless (2003).
