George Warren Simon born 4/22/1934 in Frankfurt-on-Main, Germany
Bachelor of arts in Physics and Mathematics from Grinnell College, 1955; master of science and Ph.D. in Physics from CalTech, 1961 and 1963, respectively; M.B.A. from the University of Utah, 1976; research scientist at Air Force Geophysics Laboratory in Sunspot, New Mexico; was selected as backup for STS-51F; later again Peak Observatory, Sunspot, New Mexico.
