Biography
Glady Knight won two Grammy Awards, the first with her longtime backup group, the Pips for the R&B hit "Love Overboard" (1988), the latter as a solo artist for her album At Last (2001). Her signature songs, both recorded with the Pips, are the original version of "I Heard It Through the Grapevine" (1967) and "Midnight Train to Georgia" (1973). Knight has appeared in some recent films, with a cameo as a soul singer who never quite made the big time in Hollywood Homicide (2003).
